Andrea is a dedicated and versatile psychologist with a rich educational and professional background. She graduated in psychology and specialized in gerontology in her home country of Brazil. Fourteen years ago, she relocated to Singapore, where she continued to enhance her academic credentials, earning a professional diploma in Behaviour Psychology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University (NIE/NTU). Additionally, she is certified in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and is a member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).

Andrea has extensive experience working with diverse age groups, including children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly, addressing a wide range of demands and needs across various settings. As a psycho-gerontologist, she conducted group therapy sessions in both university and private settings in Brazil. Her experience also includes working as a school counsellor for a preschool. In Singapore, she has volunteered at a hospice, taught Portuguese at a language centre, and provided psychotherapy services, particularly to the Brazilian community.

Her international experience in Brazil and Singapore, combined with interactions with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, has given her a profound understanding of how cultural factors influence personality development. Andrea firmly believes in the uniqueness of every individual, considering cultural, biological, and personal history as crucial components in understanding and supporting her clients.

In her therapeutic practice, Andrea fosters a non-judgmental and empathetic atmosphere. She bases her approach on Contextual Behavioural Therapies, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Behaviourism, Relational Frame Theory (RFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her commitment to creating a supportive environment and her diverse therapeutic expertise enable her to effectively assist her clients in navigating their psychological challenges
