Mitra is a highly experienced therapist and researcher with over 14 years of expertise in working with a wide range of mental health conditions. Her extensive background includes roles in child and adolescent mental health services, mainstream schools, psychiatric secure care units, private mental health providers, youth offender institutes, prisons, substance abuse units, and the British Ministry of Defence. Mitra has worked with several clinical groups including anxiety, depression, autism, learning disabilities, psychopathy, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Employing a client-centred holistic approach, Mitra’s therapeutic practice is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Multisystemic Therapy (MST). For couples therapy, she incorporates the Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She is dedicated to guiding individuals on journeys of self-discovery and heightened self-awareness, offering a safe and supportive environment for clients to express and explore their emotional pain, distress, or discomfort.

Mitra recognizes the importance of individualized therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s unique experiences, behavioural patterns, diagnoses, cultural backgrounds, and beliefs. She is an LGBTQ+ friendly therapist, committed to supporting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, Mitra is passionate about empowering adolescents to achieve their full potential academically, emotionally, and psychologically. She equips her clients with appropriate psychological tools and methods to reach their goals, using psychometric and psychological assessments to inform her approach.

Her international experience in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia has deepened her appreciation for cultural diversity, enhancing her empathy and understanding in her work with clients from various backgrounds facing mental health challenges.
